Tate currently develops prints and textiles for fashion in New York City.
She graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a BFA in Studio Art in May of 2016 and from the Fashion Institute of Technology for a post-graduate degree in Textile and Surface Design in May of 2018. Tate studied abroad at Chelsea College of Art, University of the Arts, London in London, UK during Spring of 2015.
While working in print design, Tate also enjoys creating artwork and commissions. She has worked with the Mattress Factory Museum and the Carnegie Museum of Art, Chautauqua Institution, and Terry Boyd Studios. She was an Artist in Residency at Bunker Projects and has exhibited work in Pittsburgh, Denver, and New York.
Her work is a part of the collection of Eric Shiner, Senior Vice President of Sotheby's Fine Art Division, Bill Benter of the Bill Benter Foundation, and has been featured on the blogs and social media of The Glassblock, Pittsburgh; ArtMaze Magazine, Issue 3; and Field Projects Gallery, New York.
